      Ati Dvd

I installed my new ATI video card and it installed all the software. Is the ATI DVD pkg any good? I am usig Power DVD now and like the surround/Dolby sound.

I think I will just disabale ALL of the software. I do not need to watch TV etc. I clicked install and it went so fast I did not realize all it had installed in ONE operation.

I've used the old version a year ago.....pretty stable, good picture, but very basic.....in fact,if I remember well, all ATI utilities were basic, but you could open almost every mediafile with them,no need to have a bunch of other software installed.......

I agree with Roadworker, stable and basic, not bad qualities in software mind you! will not let you open single vob files from a DVD.. (yes yes.. earlier versions did, but try with new, to open direct from DVD..) if you want to take snapshots or open a folder as a DVD etc.. use something else..
