I think poko's way is simpler. Posted just to verify his words: setting MyIE as default lets OE start MyIE.

solaris,
it doesnt work for me; when i did what 's in the readme, it doesnt launch anything, ie or myie2; may be the problem is because of the different path?
i have c:\windows\system32\dllcache\ instead of c:\winnt\....\dllcache, would that be the reason why mine didnt work? (i had ME before on this computer, that' s why it's in the windows directory)

oh right, myie2 doesnt have installation; so i should have changed the .reg file to mirror where the myie2 file is in addition to the other steps?
also, by doing this, myie2 replaces ie period? there's no option to use both ? the reason is i have trouble with some websites using myie2, so i'd like tohave the flexibility of using both but i just want to have myie2 launch from outlook exprss.
