autorun doeasnt work on my computer *help*

hi guys

i have windows xp pro. autorun function doeasnt work on my computer.
when i insert a cd - i have to manually open the drive and select autorun if i want to install any software. anybody know to recify this and also how can i get windows to open my cd folder automatically every time i insert my cd.

to enable autoplay go to my computer right click on your cd drive >> "properties" >>> then click on tab "autoplay" where you can customise how the drive treats each kind of media you insert into the drive
