Question Sygate Pro 5 build 1150 and Serv-U Pro v4

      Hi.

This the first time I setup an FTP server and I need some help in order to configure Sygate Pro v5 build 1150.

The details of the server are setup with domain, login and password, and the port I chose is 1713.

How should I setup Sygate in order to let people to access to it.

      Thanks

Open Sygate and you should should see the FTP Daemon running as a service. Change it's access from Ask to Allow.

Click on applications and highlight the Daemon. Open the advanced properties (for applications NOT rules) and you can then set which ports, IP addresses, protocols etc that you want it to be allowed to use.

I was told that to allow successful data transfer you must allow 2 ports (one for the data, one for the write back info) but I'm not sure whether this is true or which seconadary port is requried. The best way to find out is to test it

If you want to PM your IP to me I'll be able to test it this morning if you need it.
