Need easy-to-use word processor that can incorporate clip art

My mom is a 1st grade teacher and she has trouble with MS Word (quite frankly, I do too for this type of work).

She needs something that lets her insert clip art and allows her to easily type text elsewhere on the page.

The simpler the better. All suggestions welcome.

Any of the publishing programs, Printmaster, Printshop, etc. Insert clipart. Move/resize where you want. Add text box, insert text. Easy to use different font effects, similar to Wordart in Word. Great for making posters, banners, greeting cards, etc. They come with templates to get you started.
They come with tons of clipart. Basic packages are usually less than $20.00. Deluxe versions are $40.00 to $60.00.

If you're talking about page-setting rather than text-heavy word processing, then a "publisher" package might be more appropriate ....

w^w.freeserifsoftware.com - Pageplus (version 5 free - or v6 if you check my reply to the photo editor topic)

Registration required, so they MAY cut up rough if they actually notice the leak of the higher version - but they can't really condemn anyone for "fishing".

You can use Quark Xpress or InDesign.

But, wordpad will do the job as well

      Poko!! Shame on you :-)

Use Quark for someone who has difficulty in using Word :-)

I think you and mom may need to learn to use Word as you may not find anything simpler than word processor, and they all work very much the same. I am not Word user but in general everything works very similar to the below.

      1. Open the NEW doccument.

      2. Tell word processor to INSERT a graphic file (if it doesn't support the format then you may need filter or using 3rd party program to convert to the format it supports).

      3. Change to size and place the image to wherever you want.

      4. The word processor may have WRAPPING options and place image in FRONT/BACK of text etc. just pick the one available and works best for you.

      5. Then type text Around, in Front/Back of image etc..

I don't know much about Word but with Word Perfect I can use as DTP.

Wordpad is very much a Text Editor not really a word processor.

Yes, I use Quark myself and you have to admit that the possibilities of Quark are tremendous. Kerning to name one is a bit more advanced over using simple text and graphics.

What about InDesign 2? Or PageMaker 7
