Is there a good and best network accelerator?

I have always though that must of this programs that promise net acceleration are crap. I have only used the freeware TCP Optimizer from w_w.speedguide.net succesfully. With this one I can really feel the change in my connection, specially when doenloading (I use flashget) I can get more bandwide from my 512 k cable.

In the last days I have been asking me if other programs like Befaster and other alike can give verified real better results compared to TCP optimizer that I think its quite good.

So what is the best network accelerator program out there for you all and why?
