i need to buy a new dvd rom drive and writer i have seen post's suggesting lite-on are these available in the uk and who sell's them must be 100% compatable with cd clone any advise would be helpfull

Got a liteon myself 24202b really rocks.Totally compatable with clone cd .Check these sites w**.action.com or w**.micro-logic.com less than 100 quid.

Yep the LiteON is the best DVD-ROM drive available ... at 12X. For 16X, the best is "BTC" as at to-date. Fastest actual DVD performance, and good DAE speed and low system resource usage.

Alternatively, you can get a SONY DVD-ROM DDU1621 if the Taiwanese LiteON or US BTC isn't availble in your area. The SONY DDU1221 is an OEM version of the LiteON, while the DDU1621 is an OEM of the BTC 16X DVD ROM.
