      modem drivers

modem drivers (rockwell drivers, motorola drivers, lucent drivers, conexant drivers, us robotics drivers, pc-tel drivers, ess d........

      w*w.modem-drivers.com/

Another thing you can try is searching by the main chipset modem, sometimes the chispset manufacturer brings you updated modem and sometimes not (like motorola).

      to find special drivers....

For me the better way to find any special drivers, is to got in google, and type "name and number on the chipsets""drivers""XP""download"
It often works, because I find place where the drivers are, or I find some pages where people have discuss about them.
In this case, try to have their mail and ask them.

Lucent modem chipsets (generic) are now handled by AGERE

      h**p://www.agere.com/support/client/modem_driver2.html

It says that 8.22 is for ... Windows 9x, 2000, ME and NT

But you can usually use Win2000 drivers in XP - It'll grumble, but they usually work!

i usually go to drivershq.com. it simply links you to the manufacturer's pages for all types of hardware that need drivers.

i guess if you're downloading them then the modem must be working somewhat, eh?
