      Question Plex 24:10:40a

      24x wite' yea well thats what it says on the front if i try to write at 24x from hard drive the disk takes over half an hour thank god for burnproof the best i can write from my ultra plex 32 is 16x
      and burn proof cuts in now and then to. Can anyone tell me how to get this damm thing to write at 24x ?..

      using an abit KT7A M/B
      AMD 850 Thunderbird Proc
      40 gig ata100 7200 hard drive
      Half gig memory
      matrox vid card

      Hi bud.Welcome to the forum!This writer needs DMA enabled.I trust you have checked that.Media is also important.The Plextor site has a list of recommended media.Lastly, update the firmware to version 1.02,also available at the Plextor site..
