      WhichOne 32-40X Lite-on?

      Guys
      I was reading a lot of your post on the new lite-on's {32-40} and was wondering which 1 would be better for all the protection coping out there to do?
      I already have 2-16X,1- 24X Lite ons and am gonna keep my firm ware right where they are at now because they are doing a good job, But seen that the new 32x and I guess the 40x does Catus protection, So just gotta have 1 of them new 1's. Guess I'll have to retire 1 of the slower 16x's. Maybe take out my 24X Plex instead. Between the 2 machine';s I use to copy with I should find some room
      Any Suggestion's would help on which 1 to get {32x-40x}?
      Also Am using Clonecd--, Ollie is a great Programer, . Its just a challange copying proggies.

      Thanks

      What I have been using is a 16X DVD Lite-on and it hasn't fail me yet, I picked up a Toshiba 16X the other day because it is supposed to read even more, Don't know that much about the toshiba, It is a 1612 model, supposed to even read RAM disks.
      Any one ever use that 1 {toshiba}
      Really don't care much about the Music copying, Just want to Back up my 25 year old sons PSX2 and all our latest PC games, all the latest FPS games that come out.

      There could also be another benefit in buying the 40X over the 32X.

      Check out h**p://www.cdfreaks.com/news2.php3?ID=3853 for more on this. Let's hope this firmware come out soon.

      Question i have flashed my 40 lite-on

      i have flashed my lite-on 40125w drive to a 48125w and nero info sees it as a 48speed drive yet nero burning rom only alows me to choose 40speed writing..is this a media problem or a writer problem?????does anyone know

      i've heard that if the media is not certified to 48speed then the drive won't give you the 48speed option can anyone confirm this???

      cheers all

      Dis is a media issue since not many 48 x come to tink of not many 52x media support on market.
      It will burn to 48x if you get right media also check lite-on forums
