      CyberDrive 36x12x48 (CW068D) & Teac 40x12x48 (CDW540E)

Do either of these drives do EFM correctly?

The cyberdrive is a rebadger,so know way of knowing what's in the box.Unless you open it.The last Teac model did Proper EFM encoding. This one isn't proven yet.

Sure bets are Liteon 2410B Liteon 321323S,And the new 40X liteon.

None of the Liteons are good for Protected audio however.

      Thanks for the reply.

I didn't know that about CyberDrive burner's. I presumed they use Oak Tech. chips b/c they use ExactLink, an Oak Tech. technology, as the buffer underrun prevention system.

What drives do they typically use, Liteons like every one else seems to?

So the Teacs are not rebadges?

      Teac makes their own drives.

Liteon also. The Liteons use Mediatek chips and are having great success with all game protections, but not with audio protections.BUT only certain models like I already suggested.

I would avoid rebadgers at all costs.Creative, being one of the worst!
