cant read recorded cds (samsung cd-r/dvd)
hello all,
this is my first thread in this forum. i am using a samsung cd-r/dvd sm-308b combo (and it sucks). the problem with i am having is that it cannot read recorded cds it can only read original cds. and i m facing problem writing cds aswell. its strange that sometimes it does read all the cds and doesnt give a problem in writing atall. i dont know whats happening with it. any suggestion? |

This can be a number of problems as you may or may not know. Could be your drive is on its way out dont worry as you need to tell us stuff like. Your OS...XP ,98 etc. Burning aid software installed alone with any packet type programs, and has this just started after you have uninstalled something? Is AIN turned off? Toy with it a little (on/off- requires reboot), and see what happens.
Also, before doing that, try opening and closing your drive through software commands, and not by the eject/load drive button.
