I had one of these too and as you returned it within 3 weeks.
It wasn't the batteries so much for me, it was the movement lag.
Sadly, this is reviewed as the best wireless mouse out there currently. The M$ wireless IntelliMouse Explorer is not nearly as good (far less accurate), eats batteries even more, and is $15 USD more expensive.
Personally, I think the technology is still a year or two off. Wireless is getting better every day, but its still in its infancy.
However, if you can put up with the chord, the Logitech Dual Optical is reviewed as one of the best (if not the best) mice on the market right now. Its accurrate (1600dpi), is great on games, feels good in the hand, and is good on the wallet ($39 USD).
I've never had a better mouse! Give it a try.![]()

My only problem with it was that the batteries are already dead. Now, granted that I do use my computer a lot, I know that the batteries are supposed to last more than three weeks. In fact, the box said that it would last months on the batteries included. I really do not want to replace my batteries every three weeks. But, like I said, I really liked that mouse.... my only problem was with the batteries. So, I guess my question is are there are any better cordless optical mice out there?
