maybe you should post this question on the Software Main site to see if it generates any further interest.........users may not be coming down this far..........i think all would probably stop at Software Main first before anywhere else, i know i do that all the time

      cheers

Hi Woody my crappy LG 8080B will make working copies of SD2 games, but I still prefer BeteBlocker.

Sorry Lethal i am not sure about the 140E.

The Sony´s and Hp´s doesn´t do it with all SD2 titels.
In most cases the copy doesn´t work but the readerrors are on the copy.

      I have a HP9200 (Sony140s) and it doesn´t work.

If it´s working then then you are a lucky boy

I have to agree with what Master said as I had a CRX 140e and couldn't make working backups of SD2 with the AWS function on.

He must have had one made on a real good day or something.

      Hi Fellas,
I have the HP9100i(Sony crx-140 I believe). I tried this drive with AWS on for a safedisk 2 copy protected disks, And I am unhappy to report, non of them worked. Thank God for the LiteOn 241040B. Would have be nice if it worked, but with the LiteOn, SD2 has been a no brainer. Haven't ran into any SD2 I can't back-up with the LiteOn.

      Later,
      Poon

Hi Poon!Looks like you dumped the Iomega in favour of the Liteon.I purchased a Plex 24X,the Iomega has been relegated to the kid's computer. It served it's purpose, for a while.

Looks like many of the Sony's and Hp's(Sony rebadged),can't do Sd2 with the AWS option of Clone cd.The Liteon is a good writer, good choice.Talk to you later, bud.

This is an old one Acer 6206A will not do SD2 with anything. Was able to use Insectors for a few games. I retire this drive today. My Liteon 24x10x40 is going to get here today! Time to give the old one to the kids...lol....

      Hi Woody.

I thought I would use my first post to respond to your request.
I have a Creative 8432E with firmware version 1.07 and it will copy anything I throw at it. I was even able to copy SD2 games with older versions of CCD without the AWS option (Tiger Woods & Colin McRae 2).

Great site and great forum. Keep up the good work.

      Cheers, Beastie.

      Beastie Boy,
Not sure if your gettin your SD2's mixed up with your Securom 2 's.

Not sure were you are from but the UK version of Colin Mcrae 2.0 is Securom 2.

I have a Plex 241040A and it is a superb drive.
Also have a Acer 1208A which is an ok writer and will do all protections except TAGES. No need to bother with AWS.
I know AWS works with Plex 121032A.

If your on a budget you can't go wrong with the Liteon 24*.
      A VERY GOOD DRIVE.
