Angry None of the CDR writing software works on XP

I cant understand it. I have already recorded a few data progs on NTI but as soon as I tried to do MP3's all the progs I have (Feurio, NTI and Tunespark either froze or didnt complete the decomp to wav files, rebooting instead. Tunespark was the worst, writing the TOC and THEN freezing, buggering up the 2 discs I tried in the process. When I went back to WinME,(I have a dual boot) there was no problem. All the progs are the latest and SHOULD work but dont seem to. Whats going on ?
Also, XP is anything but faster than ME. Its slow to load and seems very lethargic to me.
