Question Nero with HP cd16 series burner

Hey I need some help, I've tried downloading Nero 5.5.5.6 and needless to say it doesn't support my drive. How can I go about getting this damn drive to work. Does Nero have a CDR database? and if so where is it so I could possibly edit it to accept my drive.

      Using 2000 pro
      and
      Nero 5.5.5.5.6
      with
HP cd-writer cd 16 series drive

      Thanks,
      Bill

Unless you need nero specifically, I would suggest you try NTI CD Maker 2000 Pro.

It's very easy to use, reliable and unless you want some of nero's more advanced features I would consider it to be the superior choice. I had a quick look on the web site and I believe the hp 16 series is supported. w*w.nitus.com.

The recent versions of nero have been a bugfest, I am using 5.5.3.5.

Get NTI at w*w.cdrsoft.cc. Its well worth it.

By the way the HP software is crap.
