Plextor 24/10/40A and CDRWin 4.0a - No overburn?
I used CDRWin 4.0a with an older TEAC CDR56S600, and could overburn up to 704MB on Kodak 700MB SilverGold with no probs., in Windows 2000 SP2, Adaptec ASPI latest 4.60.1021.
I updated with a PleWriter 24/10/40A firmware 1.02.
no bus-master drivers installed.
It works perfect, but just a strange thing: trying 703 or 704MB on a Kodak 700MB, it starts, burns, after 99% it shows :
Error: 'WRITE command failed on device 2:0:0
Illegal command request (04h 00h 02h 05h 24h 00h).
But,...the burned cd is perfect, checked binary with WinHex.
But checking with CDRVerifier - latest, or CDR Diagnostic - latest, it shows No Data Track and can not read the CD.
In Windows Explorer or accessing in Wiondows the CD is ok.Everything is ok burned.
I have licenced CDRWin, so it's no hidden tricks from CDRWin.
Now, doing a CD of exactly max 700MB, it's ok on Plextor and CDRWin 4.0a!
Doing the same burning on TEAC, works perfect.
So...how can I enable in CDRWin 4.0a the overburn?
For TEAC it seems to be default and works.
But for Plextor?
Thanks in advance for answering!
