This is a strange problem but there seems to be some kind of bug in XP. I have a Game CD, Xollin Mac Rae 2...and when I try to install the game on XP I get this "incorrect file format" message. I have tried it on serveral computers running XP and all the same. Then tried it on Win98/ME/2000...no problem. So far it´s only this CD I have problem with.

Try installing this aspi file. It solved alot of problems I was having. XP by default doesnt have it, but this may take care of your problems.

      COPY PROBLEM IN XP

I don't know how or why but since i installed xp I have been unable to copy anything with any program and i have tried most.
I was about ready to reinstall xp when i decided to install windows me on another drive. to my surprise i still could not copy anything even tho before the upgrade from me to xp i could copy almost anything. As a last ditch effort i upgraded the firmware on my toshiba dvd and my liteon 24x and now all is working perfectly in ME and XP.
I don't know if xp somehow corrupted my drives but it's working now.
