      Windows XP and Clony XL

      Hope someone can help.

      Have just upgraded from Windows ME to XP Professional and now find that Clony XL no longer works.(worked fine in mE)

      Get message" Clony XL has encountered error and must close"
      then shuts down.

      Any help in solving this would be very much appreciated.

      Hi bud.Welcome to the forum!Clony needs an aspi layer to work properly.When you upgrade or do a fresh install of Xp you need to update the aspi.Try forceaspi or use the aspi layer to upgrade in Win2k.Clony should work again.

      Hi alby, Welcome to our forum!

      you can find ASPI download and installation guide there: http://www.dvdrbase.com/showthread.php?t=32137

      but i would rather prefer A-Ray Scanner (http://www.dvdrbase.com/showthread.php?t=36022) than Clony; Clony is really out of date;

      And not seeing any development anymore.

      As Duracell mentioned... go with A-Ray Scanner. It's developed by Forum member/Mod R!Co... and is quite good to boot.

      Not tried A-Ray yet, but Clony was so damn unreliable that this new babe cannot be much worse...
