Old WinOnCD = No Drives in XP

      Hi,

I installed an old version of WinOnCd (3.7) that I had lying around on CD today in an attempt to burn a continuous mix CD of mp3s as this is what I used in previous versions of windows.

It installed fine, but when I restarted, I got the pop-up about Windows disabling drivers, and I should contact Roxia etc. When I opened My Computer, both my writer and dvdrom have gone.

I tried uninstalling WinOnCD, but when I restarted again, I still get the same errors.

Any easy solutions to this problem? The only other software of note I have installed are Nero 5.5.5.6 and WinDVD both of which worked fine (until the drives dissappeared!)

      Thanks Guys,

      b0b

The easiest solution is to use system restore.Just restore from a point before you installed Winon.Good luck.

      Thanks man...worked like a charm....

I'm kinda new to the XP way of things, and so far haven't had any huge ****-ups yet, so haven't had to use the system restore....now I've found it, I can sleep easily.

Oh, and apologies for making my first post a support question....been hangin around the forums for a bit, but never had much to say in the past
