      Small 120% problem

Hi I am fairly new to 120% and have always used CloneCD to make backups of my games. The problem that I am having is that once I have burnt the game to cd it needs the fixed exe patch to make it work.

Now a mate of mine who put me on to the 120% does not need this, all his games that he makes with 120% work no worries at all.

      My system stats are as follows. AMD 2600-Asus A7N8X-X mainboard-128meg nVidia 4200ti video card-512meg DDR Ram-Liteon CDRW-Liteon DVD-ROM-Pioneer A05 DVD-R(W)-40gig Seagate HDD.

My friend is running a P4 2.8 with a gig of ram thats the only real difference apart from the gigabyte mainboard he has.

Has anyone got any ideas on why this is happening to me. We both choose the general protection when reading and writing the images.

      Thanks in advance,

      Fat Elvis
Thank you, thank you very much!

Ok it is all games that I try, MOH Breakthrough I needed a patch and he did not, same with BF1942 (full collection) and Lord of the ring:war of the ring, Lord of the ring:return of the king, Max Payne 2, Call of duty.

We both burn the same games from original CDs he does not have to patch and I do, the only one that we both had to patch together was Homeworld 2.

      Any idea's

have you tried using your Liteon CDRW for both reading and writing of the disk !?

use a CDRW for testing purposes as this saves on wasted cdr's

ask your friend what device does he read and write the disk with ?! my guess is if he has a Liteon CDRW then hes using that to image and burn as the Liteon's are usually the best bet for a successful backup

    6. He is using my avatar !!!! grr
