      Twinpeak is NOT a crack....
      Is this legal ?

You may use TwinPeak only to create backups from games that you own. TwinPeak is not a crack. That means it does not modify the data of your disc image. This makes it as legal as any other 1:1 copy product ( ie CloneCD).

In principle, the same as using EFM error bypass / Amplify Weak sectors.

Note that a "twinpeaked" copy is NOT pure 1:1, and the copy cannot be copied (next step, then, is a protection that also contains twinpeaks already!)

TwinPeak/TwinCreator are fine as they don't actually modify any data.

At least that is they way I see it.
