      Protecting PS2 backups

      Hi all:

Iīm trying to protect a PS2 backup from being copied. I have tried Freelock and it works well against most programs, but Alcohol is able to copy it.

I need a program to protect this game from being copied with programs like Nero, CDRWIN, etc, and specially Alcohol. I know that it will not be 100% protected, but I need the closest thing to that. I have already seen a PS2 backup protected by somebody else that I havenīt been able to copy, even with Alcohol, the CD is not even recognized by my PC drive. I have no idea what program this person used.

I also tried ccd-lock but it apparently only works for audio cdīs, and tzcopy protection that only works for MODE 1, so no luck.

      Any ideas?

Thanks for the help, sorry for the long post

Hi!Welcome to the forum!Unfortunately my reply won't be what you want.

Current copyright laws only allow you to make one backup of games, etc that you own. Some countries do not even allow that anymore.

So here's the problem...if you are allowed to make one backup of a game you own,why copy protect it?You will be the only one using it.

So...we really can't help you with this.

no cd protection is UNCOPYABLE there will always be a way around it as you have discovered !

as woody says above why would you want to stop a copy from being copied ?!

seems obvious that you are passing this copy to someone else that prolly has a cd/dvd burner too !? this makes it 3rd party or trading/swapping selling whatever you may want to call it as they do not own the original assuming YOU do own the original then its at your own discretion to do with it what you wish!

but as this seems obvious that you are passing copies on in one form or another then this breeches forum ruling of the warez / piracy issue

so unfortunatly this thread is now closed !!!
