Has anybody been able to copy RCT2? How? I have tried clone cd and copy cd

I copied RCT2 with CloneCD4 using ClonyXXL settings for a Securom new protection. Game installs until right at the end when it states that there are CRC errors with RCT2.exe; if I choose ignore it looks like it installs OK but fails to run with copied CD - OK with original. Same error message given with original CD installation but the game runs OK with original CD.

Must be some extras to the Securom protection!!

I have made many copies that install but none play, Yes it is Securom protection!! I just hope sombody cmes out with a way to copy it or a cd emulator program.

Try Alcohol 120% v1_3_3_1027 it won't give you a 1:1 copy but it will emulate the SecuRom protection (V4) that this game uses. You can get it from w*w.alcohol-soft.com. Hope this helps.

I'll give that a try, but I myself am having the same problem... I don't know what's wrong... I see the securom settings but it don't like it. I mean, I'll though I'm not too good with tools like Daemon, I've tried those programs and have no luck mounting the image from the .ccd file... Somebody out there has gotta know how to get around this... cuz ya... I just install fine and when I get to the menu... it doesn't seem to go any farther... Please help peeps.

I managed to copy RCT2 with CLONECD4. Installed the game with the CRC errors and just chose to ignore. Then just download and install the NOCD patch and thats sorts out the problem. Have been playing the game for a while now and everything seems ok no problems as of yet. The orginal of the game has the same error as the copy I did. I went to the offical site w*w.rollercoastertycoon2.com and on their forum and other people have had the same problem with the orignal as we are getting and say it doesn't cause any problems. Hope this is some help to you..

You can't back it up without having to apply any no cd files, or catalysts that will affect the backup copy that is made?
