Best dvd disks to backup to?

Can someone please recommend the best disks to use to backup my ps2 games as my son think they are frisbees at the moment.

I use Datawrite classic dvd-r and have a sony dvd rw dw-u12a +/- writer. the datawrite copies but doesn't play on the ps2.

i use a flip lid & swap magic 3.0.

Hello , I have almost the same set up as you, sony burner(though not the same) and fliptop and magic disk 2.0,
Just got my flip-top today, I have backed up 2 ps2 games and 1 Dvd movie all three a success.

The Brand of Dvd im using is Ritek dvd-r grade A , or Go4 i think. Its early days for me at the mo, but ritek seem promissing. and are recomended by a lot of people on this forum.

I also heard that 3.0 disk has had its problems. So it may be that, or the way you are burning the back ups.

Most Ritek are fine for you Or Bulkpaq 4X with the ProdiscS03 DYE code I have found to be good.

I have tried the ritek GO4 disc but to no avail. can someone please help.

Is your PS2 chipped properly?
Swap Magic is a Transverstie solution which does not always work.

Yeah thats the same as me, what games are you trying to back up?
