      Unhappy ps2 mod failure

      Hi

I have a new v9 ps2. I installed a Messiah2 v.1.33b and the console no longer functions. I've checked the connections three times before powering it up and another after seeing it fail. I suspect the Bios chip because the console cannot identify its version. Everytime on power up it takes me into the configuration dialogue. Not that I care so much about that, but it will not read any disc of any kind. The lens just bounces and DRE. I also suspect the Bios over the CD/DVD DSP because it wouldn't make sense to put system version information into that chip, only its own controller version. If you can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it. In the meantime, I'll be looking for v9 boards on ebay

      Thank you,
      ~The Beast

Sorry you didn't get any replies on this one. There is not really that much expertise here when it comes to PS2 modchip installations

Did you manage to figure out what your problem was, or even buy a new board from eBay ?
