My xbox doesn't read any backups

      Hello everybody!

I tried to copy Xbox games on DVD+R (after copying them from xbox dvd drive to hard drive in my pc) using different software (xiso, isocreator, isocraxation, etc) (nero, recordnow max) and my xbox doesn't read them. It says "unknown disc".

      I use verbatim DVD+R and Ritek DVD+R.
I also have samsung drive in my xbox.

      I will appreciate any suggestions.

      Thank you.

The samsung's seem to have a bit of trouble reading DVD+R's (although I read somewhere that you can change settings/tweak etc. to get the +R to work better - don't know how though).

You should have no problems with DVD+RW, or even DVD-R

Thanks. I will buy DVD+RW today and try to burn on it.

I know that Ritek, Verbatim, HP are the best for burning PS2 games, but what about Xbox? Which DVD+RW should I buy?

I concur. I have a Samsung drive in my Xbox and it will not read +R. Just says "unknown" for disk type. A friend of mine has a Thompson and it works fine for +R.

What kind of tweaks are available for the Samsung?

Does your Xbox read DVD+RW? If it does, than what brand do you use?

      Thanks.

My burner (A05) only burns -R and -RW so I have never tested +RW. I haven't even tried -RW come to think of it.

Okay, then what DVD-R brand do you use?
