      Chips

Recently new to all this so you will have to bear with me. Using Alcahol 120% to backup my games which seems to back them up fine and work on my friends chipped ps2. But i was wondering if there is any external chips i can get for my PS2 as i would prefer not to get it chipped.

I used an external chip for m original PSX and it worked exteremly well and never had a problem with it. Does anyone know a site where i could get hold of one from.

      Cheers in advance

you can get USB devices that are supposed to do the same thing but are not recommended as being as reliable as a good old mod chip

Agreed, the USB mod devices are pretty poor for the PS2. Go with an internally soldered modchip. Post back if you need some pointers/suggestions

If you do still want something non-solder, you could try the Flip Top Lid/Swap Magic combo from www.divineo.co.uk
