james bond everything or nothing

Help me please. Im new to this backup lark. I tried backing up the latest bond game to dvd-r using alcohol 120 with a pioneer ao6 re-writer.

The disk copied fine but when I loaded it via my magic swap 3 disc the opening screen (language selection is in black and white and wont go any further)

I have backed up other games fine with the same dvd-r media and burner.

This is driving me mad, but I keep hearing about EA games needing patches. Can somebody help?

Which format is it on ?

most likely the game is in pal format, and u use ntsc, or vise versa, try downloading a pal-ntsc converter and then convert it and try again

I too had trouble with this game, however, mine was of a slightly different sort. I have a liteon ldw-851s burner, mysonic, and use Maxell-r media. I was able to backup my copy, however, when I got to mission 3, the screen just went black. So I played past mission 3 using the original, and then went back to my copy. Worked find up to mission 8 or 9 I believe then the same thing happened. Any thoughts?

you may need to apply a cd loader fix in order for your swap magic to load this properly.
