      Ripper 2 Gold

I have installed the ripper 2 gold chip in my ps2.
I can play backup PS1 games but the ps2 wont read a ps2 game. I did follow the instructions carefully.
I used dvd decrypter and selected ISO to backup the ps2 dvd game that I cant play. I can play original games & original & backup movies as per normal.
Do you have any idea what may be wrong?

did you try the different boot sequences? Like for DVD backup you press reset (x) number of times. I can't remember.

yes you're right viper. Just not fakes. Ripper 2 gold is just a copy from the DMS. It's a cheaper immitation. It's said that the ripper team took it's code from the DMS team and this really doesn't seem much like a rumour because the Ripper does have the exact same functions as the DMS just not stable. By stable I mean it goes back to the days of the MESSIAH 1!!! where you have to press reset a certain number of times for certain types of backups.

      Overall it's an OK chip.
