      Question questions about backup

      Is it possible that a backup copy of a game doesn't work because of the brand of dvd?
      a modded Ps2 reads every kind of dvd (like DVD-R, DVD+R etc.) or it reads just some kinds?

      Hi

      Id like to say that I have a PS2 (NOT MODDED) I do how ever watch alot of DVD Movies...

      I have noticed it plays DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW..

      My machine isnt even Chipped

      A PS2 will not play a copied/backed up game UN AIDED/MODDED its as simple as that .... as for DVD movies it WILL play backed up movies on DVD so long as they are in compliant DVD format on a DVDr/+r

      As mojo states on an UN MODDED PS2 system but thats ONLY FILMS not games

      Altho they CAN be PICKY with some medias/brands/dye types with films on as it is with MOST DVD players

      The cheaper media you use the faster your laser wears out.

      no blimming wonder my ps2 went dead after modding it only lasted under 8 months..

      I used standard CD-R ripped backups...

      Did you try changing the laser? Ripped DVD backups to CD is no good. Get backups that aren't ripped.

      no still got it probably bin it now got a new one... Ill keep that in mind now (Use DVD Backups)..
