Quick help with GameShark/Swap Trick

Hello All, Im new to this forward and finally decided to back up those Playstation games that I've been so anal about ( ). Anyway, my question is a simple one...and while I am well aware that my question has probably been asked several times on this board...the information gets hidden in the bowls of useless posts, off topic discussions, blah blah blah. I simply do not have the time to search for the answer right now...so i just wanted some help real quick. I am huge in the (Movie Back up) hobby so I will be assisting members in there as well. Im glad I found this site, anyway..here is my question.


Can I use a GameShark and Swap Trick to play my backup DVD+R games and CD-R Games on my PS2 - or will I need a mod chip or a swap magic boot disk.

I was hoping all I needed was a Gameshark and Swap trick...is this true or false.

umm..... it won't work. You need a modchip. Unless you do the knife trick, which I highly don't recommend!
