Yes, your v7 should play DVD+R media. Make sure you use decent media (not cheap stuff)

Hi, before asking anything, I want to say that I already did a search about it in the forums and tutorials but still have my doubts about it.
I am going to buy a Dvd-rw hp 300i which only writes dvd+. and I have a PS2 version 7, SCPH 39001 .. Does this ps2 will play the dvd+ that I will burn?
thank you for your help.

Great, thank you for the info, now I am going to buy a dvd burner Dvd-rw "hp 300i". I only wanted to make sure that I can make backups of ps2 games.
Thank you for your help and time
If you are buying a new burner, I would recommend either the Pioneer A06/106 or the Pioneer A07/107. You can pick them up now for under £100.

Hi I live in Canada and they are more expensive than that. the one that I am buying it will cost me $100.00 cad (about $75.00 US) from a guy that never used it. it is brand new in the box
I don't know but I did a search for prices and it cost more in stores.
But what do you think about this burner?. I know it only supports "+" but I can not afford a dual burner. Do you think I can get a dual burner for about $100.00 to $150.00?
OH!! men now I don't know what to do, I was ready to buy it but now I'm not sure.
Thank you
Through personal experience, i know both the HP and Pioneer are good drives.Originally Posted by caraloca

If you decide to go for the Pioneer make sure you unistall all cd-rom's/dvd-rom's through your system manager then shut dowm your system unplug all add the Pioneer as the master then restart wait for your OP to istall the new drive. repeat the install with your remaining CD/DVD Drives set as slaves one by one and you should have no problems.

Thank you for the advice, I'm going to buy the Hp because I already made plans with the owner and I think I'll be ok with.
I'm thinking to follow your advice to install the drive even if I don't get the pioneer,it sound like a good idea to avoid problems
Thank you
