GameShark/AR/Codebreaker use with Swap Magic discs.

I use Swap Magic discs to play my PS2 backups. If I want to buy either a Codebreaker, Action Replay, or Gameshark, how can I use it to put codes to play with my backups.

If you want to get either AR or GS you can still use it with the slide card provided by the Magic Swap cds

      Heres what to do:

Boot PS2 CD back ups using AR/GS
      1. Insert AR/GS and press reset
2.At the AR/GS menu choose "start game", "without codes" or with
      3. use the slide card to open ps2 cd tray
      4. insert backup and use slide card to close tray
5.Press X and you backup should boot

Boot PS2 DVD Backups using AR/GS
      1.Insert AR/GS and press reset
2.At the AR/GS main menu press eject and insert any DVD original game and wait 10 seconds
      3. Go to AR/GS "codes"
      4. Highlight "add new code"
      5. You can add a new "not real" code or delete a code
      6. It should say "updating code list please wait" everytime
      7.press start select "without codes"
      8. then press X
      9. Then the screen should say" updating code list please wait"
      10. Use the slide card to open the ps2 and insert the back up (note: you only have a limited time before the original game begins to boot.)
11.then use the slide card to close the ps2 tray and the backup should boot

Note: if you are going to use codes on the back up just uncheck a code and check it again. In step 7 you will put with codes.

Note:It does not matter which game you use in steps 4-6. If you are going to use codes on the back up use the games code list.

That Method doesn't seem to want to work for me.

I have a ver2 gameshark and I tried it but it won't work, I switch the GS disc with a real PS2 game, wait, then go to codes, and add/delete a code, then I hit start, then choose with codes, then hit X, right when I use the slide card to take out the tray its still spinning inside with that screen saying updating, and I swap the disc and close the tray with it, then it'll keep saying updating code list, please wait, then the screen will go blank and take me to the PS2 red screen where it says insert a PS2 Disc Please help, I don't know what Im doing wrong. I'm really desperate to Use my GS for codes

I followed your steps as best I could, but to no avail. My screen is frozen at the "Insert Disc" screen with a pink border when I swapped my swap magic disc with dvdloader which leads me to think that I downloaded an incorrect dvdloader file or I burned it wrong. If it is possible, can you tell me where you got your dvdloader. I got mine from http://www.ps2ownz.com

Also, how did you burn it? I used Nero 6.3.

      DVD Decrypter

DVD Decrypter is a free program. If you download the cd loader it will come with instructions. Follow the directions exept use the downloaded dvd loader. open DVD encrypter, click mode ,iso, write. Select file (rar iso file) Destination; your dvd writer. Select dvd in right corner. Hit burn button. If you don't have a v-7 you can use cd loader. You also need winrar to be able to read the rar file. There is a free trial version available, just do a google search. I also got the DVD loader from the same place you did.
