Unhappy i really do need help about dvd+rw, please help...

Hi im a new meme here and
i have a question that i would to ask.

      my Ps2 is:
      Pal
model no 50002 and serial FC..
      and i have a matrix-mxl 2 modchip
im using alcohol 120% and nero 6 to burn/make images

and when am trying to make a backup of GTA 3, i always get the messages
something like "please insert a Playstation or Playstation 2 format disc " when am trying o start the game..always!
and its not only gta 3 who dont work, every other games dont work either..

i did burn the game on a verbatim dvd+rw..

      so my questions is:
      1, can I play dvd+rw games with my ps2 ?
2, do i need to patch the ps2 games in order to play them?
3, what burning program is the best ?

would be happy for an answer.

(and sorry about my bad english )

Bad choice, don't burn games on to +RW media. try -R media or +R media. Prefereble -R.

No sir you can't. Like I said b4 use Verbatim or Ritek G04 -R media.

No problemo, didn't have a problem understanding.

P.S- If that still doesn't work It may be that your mars chip isn't installed properly.

      ok, thanks...
      does mars means matrix-mxl2 ?

      is it ps2 who can´t play dvd+rw or is it matrix-mxl 2 ?

whoops sorry, I must've gotten mixed up with the matrix and the mars chip. Still don't need to patch on the matrix.

      Thanks for pointing that out.

It's not the chip that allows the different types. It's actually the version. Like I said b4 you have a v9/10 mainboard. Yes it's going to play +RW media but not always. Just try to stick to -R media.
