problem backing up

Hi,

I have recently tried to back up a ps2 game using dvd decrypter and the method outlined in the tutorial section. I used verbatim dvd+rw...it didn't work. Then I used verbatim dvd+r, again it did not work. The disks copy fine, but do not boot up in my ps2. It is a modded version 7. I am using a hp dvd writer 300i (+) with the dvd decrypter software. I received the dvd burner as a gift and am reluctant to return it as it has been used.

Please help if you have any suggestions,

dude dvd+r disk suck cause of the vr mode thingy.I had the same problems with backups,but now my backups run smothly cause im using dvd-rw from pioneer. so i suggest you return it for a dvd-rw

I had the exact same problem, I was using a Verbatim DVD+RW. For me the problem was the disc. I tried a project on it the first time and it booted no problem, but when I erased and tried a new project it wouldn't work. Turns out it was the disc, I burned on a Maxell DVD-R (the exact same image the exact same way) and it worked no problem.
