Gamecube backup?

Hi, I'm considering buying a gamecube, but can the games be backed up? Aren't the discs really small? What kind of burner would be able to back them up?

when and if you find out.....let me know Please. I have gamecube....and the disc are really a little bigger then the mini disc's...and where to find gamcube disc's and purchase the blanks ? well thats the question....where to get them...as far as burning or playing them ? the cd player or burner does not recognize them...

so far as to my knowledge........nope. I should have known this befor purchase of gamecube......
