Playstation 2 mod chip problems

I have a mod chip (Magic 3.1) inside my PS2.
Sometimes my Playstation 2 systems won't turn on (I have to wait 3-5 minutes in the order to turn it on), sometimes the cd tray won't eject. All this began to happen after the mod chip was put inside the PS2.

I've heard that Magic 3.1 is a good chip...

Any suggestions about what should I do?

Also sometimes there is no video on the TV screen.

I don't its really the chip causing the problems. It may be that when the installer was putting everything back he may have not put everything back properly. Check if the Ribbon cable is properly inserted. You may have to take everything apart and put everything back again slowly and carefully. Did you install the mod or was it someone else?

I installed mod chip by myself.
Everything was put together properly. Of course I can take PS 2 apart put everything back again slowly and carefully but I don't think that it will solve the problem because I double checked all cables before closing the system.

The ribbon cable is inserted properly.

The most common problem is that that PS2 turns on, but there is no video on the screen. I have to turn it off then turn it on and repeat this procedure several times before video shows up...

1) Did you make sure you magic 3.1 wasn't a clone?

2) if it wasn't a clone then I can only recommend you to 2 places.

1)I believe that it is clone. (I bought it cheap)

if you say that your modchip is a clone then the only way to fix it is to change it with an orignal. Go to www.modchip.ca and then check out their fake section. Just make sure that magic 3.1 is a clone by comparing to their real chips and read their fake chips. That would probably a better idea b4 moving onto those forums.

I've already been at www.modchip.ca and I didn't find the picture of my mod chip there.... I believe that it is fake. Is there is any way to make my PS2 work as it did before installation of the mod chip (without removing or changing it) ?

Can you post a pic of your chip up here I just want to double check. Because this should be the final resort.

I suppose it is previous model- Magic 3.0. But they say that it is 3.1.....

sorry bud, but that chip looks fake to me. Other's have bought from that site and reported the chips as fakes.

You'll probably have to take that 3.1 out.
