      True Crime Backup trouble

ive tried many times to backup this game. Tried every software mentioned in tutorials. I can get the game to copy succesfully but when i boot it up in my PS2 the activision logo comes up and the luxoflux boot guy but after that it come up a screen to insert a valid PS2 disk. I've tried this with SWAT and the same thing happens the first screen will come up with the legal stuff and press X to continue but when you press X the same screen comes up.

      Any ideas?

What modchip do you have? Did you follow the RecordNow Max tutorial, that one seems to work well.

I had the same problem with swat aswell. it loads alrite then the screen with the writing on it comes up then it says press x so when i do it goes onto the red screen saying insert a ps2 disc. Also if i dont press x and then i wait about 10 seconds the insert disc screen will come up.

I got a Pioneer A06 just before Xmas and tried a couple of backups. 2 worked one didn't. The DVD's I was using were Dabs ones, I got them with the drive, cos I didn't want to wait getting them from anywhere else.

Once I had realised that I really should have got some decent blanks, I backed up the game that wouldn't load on my PS2 to a Ritek G04 DVD -R. This then worked.

So, from what I've found on these forums, main thing seems to make sure that the DVD's you are writing to are good quality. My PS2 wouldn't read the Dabs DVD, but my PC still would.

I have a DMS3 mode chip and had no problems with True Crime. I used Recordnow, but also use Alocohol 120% and Nero.
