what modchip PS2 version 3

Hi, What's the best modchip for this version. I've had a look and it seems that the neo 2.2 with AR/DVD Region X would be good? The less wires to solder the better, I understand the neo 2.2 needs 8, is this correct.

You can buy a Messiah or DMS. They are compatible with every version. I recommend you getting a Messiah v1.30. Though you may have trouble finding it. The new v1.33 are mainly for v9's. So a v1.30 will do.

the ripper 2 will work in a v3 and only a couple of wires to solder to the dvd/cd controller points makes life easier
