Ps2 Not Playing My Dvd Backups

Hi All

Ive been reading and using this forum (For Information) now for quite a while and have decided to register and make a post as i cant seem to find a post on the question im about to ask .

i have been backing up my dvds with dvd shrink (Version 3.0 Beta 5)
and burning them as a dvd-video on a dvd-r disc using Nero.Burning.ROM.v6.0.0.9.Ultra.Edition

ive done over 10 and have had no problems playing them back on my free standing dvd player

i also have no problem playing them on my ps2 dvd player, my ps2 has a messiah pro chip in it (works well by the way)


i decided last night to take a backup of a dvd movie round to my brothers and watch it on his ps2 ( it has had no modification at all) and it would not read the disc

i was reading a post on hear just now and they were saying about they burn there dvd back ups using nero as a DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO)

so my question "" once my dvds are on my harddrive as vob files etc can i burn them as a DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO) """ ???????????????????

if any one has more info on this i would appreciate it very much

thing is, PS2's are a bitch, some versions dont play -R's some dont play -RW's some dont play +R' and some dont +RW's and in vice versa, my only plya - R's and -RW's while they dont play +R' and +RW's even if burned same way, its your ps2, try it on a +R disc.
