ps2 dvd to blank dvd problems

      hi guys,
I want to make a backups of my ps2 collection. It is modded and i have to swap disks using a dvd region x. I use record now max to make a global image of a game than use b's recorder gold 5 to burn the gi file to a blank dvd+r. But when i loaded the game up nothing happened. I think i have a v4 ps2 due to the fact it has 8 screws in the base. (if thats any help)

Plz help me as this is annoying

Firstly, use RecordNow Max for the entire process

http://www.dvdrbase.com/forumdisplay.php?f=132 has many PS2 backup tutorials, along with a thread on boot procedures. Check out the procedure for your modchip. The fact that you have to swap discs makes the booting process more complex. Make sure that you follow the exact procedure otherwise the backup game will not boot.

You say you loaded it on to a DVD+R. Since ur ps2 is a v4 I think it would be better if you load it on to a DVD-R. All ps2's are -R compatible, if you're lucky some will read +R/RW. It all depends on chance. Just try loading it on to a -R and see if it works.
