      problem with fifa rip

      Hi,
I have Fifa 2004 and want to use a back up rather than the original as my previous fifas all got scratched beyond belief.
Anyway, I have tried to rip it to cd with the rip from alucard.
The program was similar to one that I used recently for backing up virtua fighter 4 and that worked great (thanks to psx paul).
I did the copy to hd then dvd then rip buttons. Then ISO button.
There were a few errors displayed when creating ISO (cant find file) but seemed to be pointing at french and german files. The ISO file was created and then burnt using crwin.
It burned successfully but will not play on ps2 unit.
Is there anything I can do to check I am doing something wrong as I dont think I am doing anything different from the last time.
      Any suggestions.

      Cheers
      BB

What format (PAL/NTSC) version of FIFA have you got? The rip kit is for the PAL version.

Did you copy "Gamebuster" into the working directory - as per the readme file?

I don't do much ripping myself, but I would be inclined to rip the DVD to harddisk & copy the entire rip kit contents into the working directory (i.e. C:\FIFA2004\)

Then run the gamebuster from there again, click the 3 buttons and burn the resulting ISO file.

      Hope that this helps

One other thing, I can imagine FIFA 2004 being quite a large and complex game in terms of data. Playing a ripped version of it will most definately miss out a considerable amount of the game. I would personally be extra careful with your original until you get your DVD burner back, then back it up to DVD-R/DVD+R.
