not yet to have complete sucess, there is 1 working iso in existence but it was created by its own authours, however it is being looked at in private (not by me i hasten to add) there have been so many fakers around that even when (if) something does happen most of us will not believe it untill we see it with our own eyes, the most recent "hoax" was an italian "group" claiming a 71 wire chip, pity they forgot to remove the battery bay clip from their flash advance before photographing it .

Look on the bright side, at least you have a console thats got games that are worth buying (unlike some which without a chip and some emulators wouldnt be worth buying )

err.. well for starters dont stick toffee in a console

yeah, dont like pc's much, i've got a few, but realy they are for net/email and storage / burning and direct connect. the 2 pc's i have here (main pc rig) are:

      1) p3 866 with all in wonder 128 radeon, 512mb, sb plat 5.1, 16 hdd's (total 1.1tb), 2xcdr, 2x dvd rom, 1x cd rom 1x dvdr, 8mb/1mb dsl, win 98se (used for storing my console roms/ video stuff & direct connect)

      2) p4 northwood, gf4, sb 512, 1gb ram, 1x dvd/cd rom, 1x cdr, 1x dvdr 6 hdds (total 720gb), 20mb/512k satellite, win xp (used for music files and development stuff)

i have NO pc games at all installed on either machine, just the tools i need to do the jobs i want to do, i'm not a trader of any kind and never have been (too much to loose) but i have plenty of contacts in official (and unofficial) console related areas.

      Cool

Any news? I didn't know they where miniDVD's, I thought they where mini-CD's

no the mini dvd has a capacity of 1.5gb however the action replay is on a cd so the cube can read both formats, that said its not the actual media thats the problem, its the media validation check the gc drive uses that causes all the biggest problems (and the reason for gc ar long delays)

GC isn't going to have backups or a modchip. THat's why most ppl prefer ps2 and xbox becuz they can be chipped. If u hear of a gamecube getting chipped then it's a hoax. Gamecube can't get chipped.......period! Chipping the gamecube is like winning a 60 million dollar lottery. It wont work!

IF it can then I'll be surprised.

      nope still not possible aybesea

there is no known way possible !?

there was talk of some japanese hackers making an addon box to plug an external cdrom drive in to use normal cdrs but nothin came of it !?

as far as i know to date the CUBE is the only console that has suceeded in defeating the mod chippers

Hey PSX_Paul (or anyone else that knows the answer)... any word yet on whether this is working out? If so, have you considered doing a tut for backing up Gamecube games?

Well it looks like someone has won the lottery then as there are ways to play backups now.
