I just found this one on the net, searched the forum and found older v1.6 posted few months ago. I don't do much MP3, haven't tried this one to know how good it's. But here is part of the FAQ I get from web page.
Q: How does mp3Trim clean MP3s? A: Most MP3s contain some 'junk'. So mp3Trim parses the files looking for MPEG-audio frames and discards the rest... you end up with an absolutely clean MP3 containing only MPEG-audio frames (and eventually an ID3 tag). mp3Trim has a little indicator on how much space you'll recover when saving an MP3. Check below the 'from the end' sentence in mp3Trim main window.
