There are some articles at Cdfreaks main page dealing with the issue.Clone cd Is capable of defeating Cactus Datashield with the proper hardware.Hope that helps..

Hello, could you please give me the internet address of cdfreaks, I tried cdfreaks.cc => look at the answer: We have great news for you! The domain CDFREAKS.CC is not currently registered. This means that you may register the domain now, before anyone else registers it.

      Thank you.

      Thank you,

I really cannot find something about a program that can copy a CD copy controlled or just to convert my original CD cop'trolled in MP3 for my Archos.

Thanks in advance for a possible name of the program and where I can download it.

the way you have to go is this one: http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread....threadid=46159
(i hope my doing isn't knowledge leeching)

the software you need is: http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/
      but for sure, you need an audio protection compatible reading device like Plextor, RICOH or Yamaha CDRW drives;

In fact the above does not apply:
      1. All Lite-On drives are totally unable to read a Cactus Data Shield 100 disk.
      2. Almost all of them (the latest one, LTR-52246S excluded), cannot read CDS 200, either.
      3. DocLoc is only readable with the latest one, LTR-52246S, and the latest firmware versions (from 6S02 and after). According to cdfreaks it's also readable (with some difficulty) on LTR-40125 and the very latest firmware, but no other Liteon drive.
      4. A few Liteon drives cannot read Key2audio, either.
And of course using Clone, Alcohol, Blindwrite etc to copy an audio protected disk is always a very bad idea- as the protection remains, while when you rip those disks with the right software/audio ripper the backups have no protection at all.
The best devices to rip all protected audio CD's are:
      1. Yamaha F-1 burner.
      2. Plextor Ultraplex 40 reader.
      3. Most of the Plextor burners, the 16X and 48X models excluded (maybe some other with certain firmware verssions will have synch problems, too).
To sum up, protected audio is almost 100% a hardware issue, and not a sofware one.
