Question mp3 or wav to CD?

Hi all.

I am hoping to put some Real audio (rm, ra, etc) onto audio CDR and wanted to know if it is better to convert the files to mp3 first or wav first. Which would result in better quality?

Would it matter, bearing in mind that the burning software will convert them to whatever it converts them to for audio CDRs?

Also, how do I get streamed audio onto CDR for free without using a mic?

Lastly, what are C2 errors and what difference in sound do they make when listening to a CDR with these errors on it?

Thanks.

PCM wav. Reason being that mp3 is a lossy format.
