Can tone be altered in mp3 files?
Hi, new member here. Found this place by accident while looking for mp3trim.
This place is great. I have gone through about 12 pages but have not found a program that alters the tone of a mp3. For example, can you add more bass, or cut down the highs. I was looking at Sound Laundry's add-on called Easy Tools, does anyone know if this works the way I want or know of another program that may do what I want? Any help is appreciated. Thanks |

Sound laundry wont help at all.
But you can use a graphic equilazer in foobar,add some bass,highs..whatever or use a foobar dsp with a diskwriter...Also,maybe its a overkill but you can load the files in a editor like samplitude or wavelab(everyone will do) and use one of the millions of dx-vst plugins avoilable for it

@lowtech
I received your pm.
Please i would prefer more conversation here then there......pms are for either private or some other purposes. Foobar is a audio player(and much much more).Whatever is not clear,try search first-button in the right upper corner. So do a search first and post what is not clear...There is a lot of things about foobar allready said,also link where to get it.Its a free,it started as a player,but is also a diskwriter(encoder-decoder)for all imagenable formats including almost all lossy&lossless,masstagger,ripper,audioburner and much much more... Also its got a excelent dsp with good graphic equilazer,and its one totally custom accustomable solution...Its a state of the art,just like EAC and Samplitude
