audio files....

hey i wanna know what program i can get that'll convert wma to mp3 and mp3 back to wma....and also is it possible to convert the audio file if it is already how it is??..for example there is a song that was mp3 160kbps 32khz and mono....i changed it back to wav and converted it back to mp3 and i changed the 128kbps....but is it possible to also change the 32khz to 44khz and the mono to stereo??..

A pretty good resource on conversion, with a strong bias to free or at least cheap!

Conversion or re-encoding in lossy formats, results in cumulatative loss, and cumulative addition of artifacts.

Going from Mono to "centre stereo" is possible in most programs, for more atmosphere, you might be looking for a "stereoizer", but the phase shifts and filtering of this kind of stereo faking can be unkind to some content.
