      Burning cd+g problems

Hi hope some one can help me out to rid myself of coasters. I have just purchased the sunfly collection. I loaded mp3 toolz I extracted the songs i wanted to burn to a folder and then right clicked on folder and clicked on convert from mp3+cdg to bin. The files convert i load the converted files in to cdrwin tick the box where it says cd+g burn at 2x but the end product comes out as a cda file it will play on my cd player but it will not play the karaoke player and it will not recognise the files as cd+g. if i play the converted files from the hard drive they play ok with all the words comming on the screen.Any help would be very gratefull has i have been sat for 6 hours and getting no where.

      Regards

Your burner must be capable of burning CD+G format, not all do. Check your burner manual to see if that format is supported.

      Burning Karaoke CD+G Problems?

I suggest that you visit the Micro Technology Unlimited (MTU) site located at h**p://w?w.mtu.com and download a demo copy of their Microstudio software to ensure that your computer system is capable of recording karaoke CD+G compact disc. This is the easiest and quickest way to ensure you system can record karaoke CD+G’s.

Also I have found that the most reliable way to record karaoke CD+G’s is record at x1 times to ensure the graphic RW sub channel data records properly.

      Charlie,

Why don’t you try the diagnostic program “CD-R Inspector” available for download at this site to ensure your “Source” CD+G is not flawed and to ensure that your “Copied” CG+G is recorded properly.

The diagnostic program “CD-R Inspector” will inspect your CD+G’s and also play karaoke CD+G. Under the menu item select “Pro Tools”…. “Display/Validate CD+G” to check your CD+G’s.

If you are using DART Karaoke Studio CD+G there is a strong learning curve to use the program properly. It is a good program but not user friendly and produces many coasters until you figure out how to use it properly. As stated in a PM to you a couple of days ago Micro Technology Unlimited (MTU) karaoke products available at w*w.mtu.c*m are more user friendly.

Your burner is a excellent one for burning karaoke CD+G’s as that shouldn’t be a problem there but suggest you obtain a copy of ASPI Check available for down load at this site to ensure that your ASPI installed properly.
